Shell PANOLIN Biodegradable Solutions for Mining
Improving Operational Sustainability Can Contribute to Competitive Advantage
In mining, efforts to decarbonize and reduce environmental impact are accelerating a stronger focus on the end-to-end supply chain. Many mining companies are increasingly prioritizing sustainability across their supply chains by implementing net-zero emissions strategies.
Some of the key challenges faced by the mining industry include:
- Balancing production output with environmental impact
- Ensuring 24/7 equipment reliability even under harsh operating conditions
- Prioritizing the prevention of water and soil contamination
- Managing cost efficiency and long-term value while reducing risks in sensitive environments
Lubricants Can Make a Difference
- Equipment performance: improving efficiency while reducing emissions
- Equipment life: protecting critical components to keep assets running longer
- Sustainability goals: reducing overall environmental impact
Why Shell PANOLIN in Mining Operations?
Reduce oil usage and waste
- Longer oil drain intervals mean less oil is produced, purchased, and disposed of
Lower environmental impact
- Biodegradable, low-ecotoxicity fluids with EU Ecolabel-certified options
Meeting operational specifications
Fire-resistant hydraulic lubricants and high-pressure greases offer solutions for demanding mining applications.
Reducing the environmental impact of critical operations should not mean compromising productivity or protection. Biodegradable lubricants can help reduce the environmental footprint of operations.
Shell PANOLIN offers a portfolio of biodegradable products designed for a wide range of mining conditions and applications, especially for environmentally sensitive areas and operations in or near water.
